The January 6th Committee Is A Political Witch Hunt Aimed At Donald Trump.

The hearings of January 6 are coming, and we all know what this means! -The radical left again tries to milk the events of that grim day to shamelessly showcase the few powers they have left as the 2022 midterms approach.

Questions to the far left regarding the Political Witch Hunt.

There are many questions the Democrats must answer. For instance, why are they ignoring a recently revealed document from the DOJ that said, "It is objectively unreasonable to conclude that President Trump could authorize citizens to interfere with the Electoral College proceedings…"?

Where is the evidence of any online conspiracy of planned mass insurrection? Why are so many people kept imprisoned in inhumane conditions?

And of course, why has January 6 been repeatedly deemed an insurrection while no one has been charged with insurrection?

The January 6 Committee has nothing to investigate.

The January 6 Committee established by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi last July is, once again, wasting time and resources creating a fictional narrative to fool anti-Trumpers. The mission has little to do with discovering any unknown facts about an event that took place live on television - there are no unsolved mysteries for Congress to explore.

The Committee exists to prove that the riot was an "insurrection" or an attempted coup. Clearly, what happened that day was a chaotic and appalling mess - not an orchestrated plot. However, the Committee is determined to find a conspiracy - even if it must make up one. It has spent its time making up a narrative from events and opinions that reveal nothing more than a shared desire to punish President Donald Trump and his supporters.

McCarthyism rises again.

We should have learned to avoid giving partisan demagogues the ability to use congressional power in this manner. Yet McCarthyism is being repeated in a rush to justify treating January 6 as if it were. Democrats continue to compare January 6 with the 9/11 terrorist attacks and Pearl Harbor - such disrespect towards all the victims.

The January 6 Committee is nothing but a political agenda. It appears less interested in the actions of the actual rioters that burned down cities, looted businesses, raped women, murdered innocent citizens and police officers. But, on the other hand, desperately determined to link Trump, his supporters, congressional Republicans, and half of America that voted for Trump to a mythical insurrection plot.

Adam Schiff fakes evidence.

The Committee discussed its motion to recommend that former White House chief of staff Mark Meadows be held in contempt of Congress for refusing to hand over information which Trump has exerted executive privilege.

Schiff edited text messages he presented to the Committee, altering the text and creating the false impression as though he was quoting original text messages rather than fabrications.

The message that Schiff attributed to a Republican lawmaker was tailored to read: "On January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, should call out all electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all."

However, the original message came from former Department of Defense Inspector General Joseph Schmitz, who had drafted and summarized legal arguments that Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) forwarded to Meadows. And Schiff left out the entire exchange, which read (emphasis added):

On January 6, 2021, Vice President Mike Pence, as President of the Senate, should call out all the electoral votes that he believes are unconstitutional as no electoral votes at all — in accordance with guidance from founding father Alexander Hamilton and judicial precedence.

'No legislative act,' wrote Alexander Hamilton in Federalist No. 78, 'contrary to the Constitution, can be valid.' The court in Hubbard v. Lowe reinforced this truth: 'That an unconstitutional statute is not a law at all is a proposition no longer open to discussion.' 226 F. 135, 137 (SDNY 1915), appeal dismissed, 242 U.S. 654 (1916).

Following this rationale, an unconstitutionally appointed elector, like an unconstitutionally enacted statute, is no elector at all.

That wasn't the first time Schiff has faked evidence in investigations. In 2019, at the opening hearing of the House Intelligence Committee investigation into President Trump, he fabricated a conversation between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

When caught, Schiff claimed that he was merely acting out a "parody" rather than creating a false public impression - what a liar!

Later, in debates before the Senate in Trump's impeachment trial, Schiff again faked a Trump quote to Zelenskyy.

The Committee forgets one crucial fact.

"Hannity" host Sean Hannity shared a message to the House Select Committee investigating the January 6 riot at the U.S. Capitol. He declared that it cannot be considered a severe legislative body if it doesn't explain why House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser refused to consider President Donald Trump's approval of 20,000 National Guard troops to protect the congressional campus.

"We now know they blocked the National Guard assistance on multiple occasions. They refused to even call up the guard after the Capitol Police chief literally was begging for the National Guard; on at least six separate occasions that we've chronicled. So, the question tonight is why? Why? Why not approve the extra security that the president allocated for? Why choose to leave lawmakers vulnerable with such a massive crowd that they knew would be going to the Capitol?"

The McCarthyite witch hunts largely ignored actual spies as its leaders went after more vulnerable and politically profitable targets. The January 6 committee is similarly focused on an unproven mythical conspiracy. The January 6 Committee is embarked on ensuring that its political opponents are silenced, violating Democracy and the freedom of speech which we as Americans must defend.
